What we bring to the job
Professional-grade tools matter — they decide whether your space gets surface-cleaned or actually restored. Here's the gear we use on every rug pickup & wash job.
How we do it
Same six-step process every time, so you know exactly what to expect.
- 1PickupWe come to you, inspect the rug on-site, note any pre-existing damage, pet staining, or fringe wear, and give you a written receipt with estimate.
- 2Dry soil removalAt our facility the rug is dusted on both sides to shake out dry debris — typically 1–5 lbs per rug. This is the step in-home cleaning simply cannot match.
- 3Fiber + dye testInconspicuous area tested for color-fastness and fiber response. Antique, silk, and hand-knotted rugs get extra-gentle chemistry.
- 4Full washSoft brushes work pH-neutral wool-safe shampoo through the pile in the weave direction. Multiple fresh-water rinses until the water runs clear.
- 5Centrifuge + dryCentrifugal wringer removes 95%+ of water; rug moves to climate-controlled drying room for 24–48 hours.
- 6Finish + returnPile groomed, fringe combed, rug rolled in breathable kraft paper. Back to you on a scheduled delivery day.

Questions we get
Do you pick up and deliver?
Yes — free pickup and delivery throughout Greater Boston, Essex, Suffolk, and the Merrimack Valley. We schedule pickup and return at your convenience.
How long does it take?
7–10 business days typical. Larger rugs, pet contamination, or repair work can extend turnaround. We give you a firm return date at pickup.
Can you get pet urine out?
Usually yes. Full submersion + enzyme treatment breaks down uric acid crystals that in-home cleaning leaves behind. Severe or repeat saturation may need a dedicated decontamination add-on.
Will colors run?
We test every rug for color-fastness before wash. Antique rugs with unstable vegetable dyes occasionally need a controlled hand-wash only — we tell you up front and won't proceed without approval.
